Wednesday's Website: PLASTICLAND www.shopplasticland.com

Technically it is Thursday by an hour but I am writing Wednesday's post now. Deal with it, ok? I am in love with this online store, they have tons of things I don't need but I convince myself that I do. Kind of like when I go into Target or Christmas Tree Shops, I went in only needing one thing but spend $100+.
Well check out

They have everything clothes, home decor, books, gifts, etc. Speaking of gifts... if anyone is looking to buy me a gift (my birthday is coming up soon!) they could by me these ;)

New Video: Jazmine Sullivan "Holding You Down (Goin' In Circles)"

Here's Jazmine Sullivan's new video for her first single "Holding You Down" off of her sophomore album Love Me Back. I love this song and I'm feeling the old school vibe of the video.

I'm excited to hear what else she has in store for us on her album which is scheduled to be released on October 5.

Music Mondays: Mayer Hawthorne

Mayer Hawthorne is definitely what's up. His album "Strange Arrangement" is one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time. I can play it from beginning to end without skipping a track or two. I've been listening to it since last year and it still hasn't gotten old. Here's the video for his latest single "Your easy lovin' ain't pleasin' nothin'". Enjoy!

Get Inspired: Pencil Sculptures

I've heard of making art with pencils, but I've never seen anyone turn their pencils into art. For over 25 years Dalton Ghetti has been carving the lead of pencils into phenomenal sculptures using nothing but his razor blade, sewing needle and sculpting knife. I find his work to be absolutely amazing - his talent is truly limitless.

Ghetti's sculptures will be on exhibit at Iona College from September 7 - October 7. For more info click here.

Find your passion. Get inspired :)

Event: NYC Wine & Food Festival

For all of the foodies out there - Food Network is hosting their 3rd annual Wine & Food Festival in NYC in from October 7 - 10. They're going to have demonstrations by Food Network chefs, panel discussions, wine seminars, cooking events for kids and much more.

I've never been but I hope to make it to at least one event this year. I love Food Network (and wine and food in general).

Throwback Thursday: Lite Brite

When I was a kid, one of my favorite toys was Lite-Brite. I remember I used to sit for hours making masterpiece after masterpiece with my pegs.

I came across the video below of the world's largest (and in my opinion dopest) Lite Brite image. It was created by an artist named Lori Kanary for Asics shoes in 2008 and was made with a total of 340,007 pegs.

When I get my mansion, I'm definitely going to give Lori a call to hook me up with some Lite Brite wall art.
